Thinking
about starting a family?
Talk to your

counselor, a lab listed

are planning a pregnancy.
You are excited at the thought of becoming pregnant
and having a baby. You care about doing
everything to ensure having a healthy baby.

|
| Do you know? |
|
- It's important to learn more about
your genes. They contain information that will determine
much about your baby.
- 1 in 9 Jews of eastern European descent
is a carrier of one of the nine Jewish
genetic diseases. Some of them, like Tay-Sachs
and Canavan disease, are fatal but they CAN
BE PREVENTED!
- You could be a carrier of one of the
Jewish genetic diseases and not even know it?
- Carriers of the gene for Canavan disease
have NO symptoms and are not sick. If one parent is
a carrier and the other is not, their baby could also
be a carrier but cannot have the disease.
- If both parents are carriers there is
a 1 in 4 chance that their baby could be affected,
but it doesn't have to be.

You've
taken tests your whole life.
This test will ensure that you will
have a healthy baby.
